Embarking on a project of significant scale, Alaska Construction contracted ACL to get the site and foundations right for trade.
Henderson Valley is water-logged peat, and this particular site was littered with asbestos. All in a days work for ACL. Contaminants were safely removed with the support of in-house, qualified specialists. Contaminated loads were wrapped and tipped in accordance with best-practice health and safety requirements, and the site given a clean bill of health by local authorities.
The peat soil was then uplifted and a layered foundation laid to support multiple pile drivers operating at a time.
